Biography

Last year I was awarded an inspire award to help me towards my goal.

My goal was to take part in the European Dragon Boat Championships in Germany. The award went a great way to helping me with my training costs and the cost of getting out to Germany.

Dragon Boating for Great Britain is an amazing accomplishment and whilst we where out there the GB Junior team secured two Bronze Medals.

Dragon Boating for Great Britain is all self funded so any help I receive is really appreciated

I also have the great news that I have trialled again for GB to compete in the World Championships which are being held in Thailand i August 2019 and I am really happy to say that I have gained a place in the boat. It is through hard work, training both on land and on water that has helped. Once again the inspire award has been invaluable and is helping me to achieve my dreams.

As a team we are hoping to return with more medals.

I will keep you all posted over the next few months to let you know how training is going in preparation for the Championships - Once again thank you!

Simon Taylor, Inspire lead, said: "Campbell's enthusiasm and dedication is an example to all young people and we are really looking forward to hearing of his success in the championships
