After attending the national launch of the charity earlier and hearing about Joe's story the cadets wanted to help out as much as they could. For the local launch the cadets offered up their services to help the event run as smoothly as possible. Some 1000 people walked through the doors of Rothley Parish Church where the event was held and included guests such as the Charity's Patron Martin Johnson, Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire Lady Gretton, and Mayor of Charnwood Councillor Diane Wise. The cadets provided a guard of honour for our VIPs and helped out at the CPR demonstration run by East Midlands Ambulance Service.
