In a post on Kasabian's website, which was sent to about 1.2 million subscribers, bassist Chris Edwards wrote: "When Steve [Joe's dad] told us about the Joe Humphries Memorial Trust, we realised how important raising awareness of this condition is.

"If people are educated, young peoples lives can be saved, we're hoping via our fans we can spread the word."
