Hello,

Firstly I would like to thank The Joe Humphries Memorial Trust for the opportunity they have presented me with and for their support.

By gaining support from the JHMT I will now be able sit my Level 1 Coaching Badge in Football run by the Leicestershire FA. As part of the course we are taught material that is suitable to be coached to children of different ages, extending my knowledge and confidence for a future role. We also undergo Safeguarding and Emergency First Aid which are hugely important factors that need to be understood when around participants in sport. As mentioned in my Bio I would like to attend University and need to strive both academically and also out of curriculum. I believe that in addition to my voluntary hours, the opportunity provided can all be beneficial to my application, future role and also most importantly the children that I will teach.

I'll update at a later date regarding the outcome of the course and what happens from there.
