Midlands Championships 2016

On the 11th and 12th of June, I competed in the Midlands Championships over 100 and 200 metres, on Saturday I ran 200m, in the heats I ran well and got 21.27 and very happy with my start. In the final I felt like I got out slower and when I finished my race It felt slower but when I found out my time I was surprised to find that it was a season's best time of 20.88 and the win. It's good that I have gone sub 21 again and it's my 3rd fastest time of all time. On Sunday I ran in the 100m, I did this because I need to improve my starts. In my heat my start wasn't great but got up to speed quickly, in the final I got out of the block very well and ran a PB of 10.63 with a relaxed race, which I was very happy with. Both times have moved me up the rankings which is great. I am happy that things are coming together at this point in the season, with the Nationals and Olympic trials coming up.
