Last weekend I travelled up north to Lancaster to compete in the final round of the Junior Women's National Road Series; North West Junior Women's Tour. Prior to the 3 day stage event I was leading by 3 points. Saturday consisted of a short Prologue which I finished 2nd with an 8sec advantage over the 3rd placed rider. Stage 2 consisted of a 42km hilly road stage and as expected the bunch gradually dwindled down as the laps passed by with only 7 riders finishing on the same time as the winner including myself in 6th place :) The 3rd and final stage was around a short road circuit over 52km which included time bonuses every other lap for the first 3 riders. I secured 5 seconds in the bonus sprints and ended up 6th on the finish and 3rd overall on GC, this was enough to secure me the overall National series win!!
