National 10 mile time trial Championships

I've just returned back from Scotland having competed in the National 10 mile Time-trial Championships, my first National 10 mile TT outside of the GHS.
We drove up the day before so I could check out the course and I was pleased to fit in a course recce after my 6 +hour drive.
I woke up to drizzly rain, not ideal but at least the wind had dropped. I was off at 09.16 and after a good warm up I made my way to the start line. I felt good as I headed down to the halfway island but with several slip roads you had to very vigilant with the traffic. As soon as I'd finished I very quickly critiqued my performance and realised I could have gone harder to the halfway point, I finished 4th overall and with a season's best time of 22 mins 15 sec.
Theres certainly no let up for me as I approach the end of this year's road season. I will be travelling over to Ireland next week to compete in the Ras na mban, a 5 day stage race.
