As triathlon is a summer sport, over the winter I have been focusing on improving my performance in the single disciplines. As part of this I competed in the Leicestershire County Swimming Championships, where I had some good swims, including some very useful preparation swims in the 800m and 1500m freestyle. I gained bronze in the 1500 free, and also came away with silver in the 200m backstroke. Now winter is finally coming to an end, I'm looking ahead to the upcoming Performance Assessment weekend which takes place next week, and hoping that I have a good performance to put me in good stead for the rest of the year.
