I was in Scotland for 4 days and swam the 100 fly on the Friday and 50 fly on Sunday. The atmosphere and competition was so amazing and I felt so good that I can represent Melton as a club, in with all of the much bigger city and university teams. In the 100 butterfly I was the slowest person going in to the meet but I managed to get 1.4 second pb and managed to make the final where I stayed under 57 seconds but not quite as good as my heat time of 56.74. I came out of the final in 6th place in the juniors and went in 47th overall and came out 28th which was an amazing achievement. The 50 butterfly was next after a day of relaxing on the Saturday. The heat didn't go as well I planned and I know I can swim a much better time than I did in that race due to a false start that triggered me to dive in just as we were asked to step down. Although I had unlucky pre-race section I still managed a seasons best but I sadly didn't make the final. All together I am very happy with how I swam and I had a very enjoyable time swimming against such high level competitors.
