Start of the 2019 season

This year my triathlon season has been more disrupted than usual due to studying for A Level exams, however I still continued competing throughout exam season. My most recent race took place at Dorney Lake, and was a really positive sign for the rest of this season.
Race day was very hot, with temperatures of around 35°, so I knew it would be important to keep hydrated throughout. I had a fairly good swim, and consequently managed to get into a bike group with around 6 others. The bike pack worked really well together, and we passed many athletes over the 20km bike, finally catching the leading trio to make a front pack of around 15 athletes coming off the bike. Unfortunately on the run the heat started to get to me a bit, but I still managed to keep going and finish in 16th place and 11th junior.
Now I am looking forward to getting some good training in and hopefully having some good races in the second half of this season.
