Cyclocross National Trophy Series & East Midlands Regional Championships

Earlier in the month I became the U16 East Midlands Regional Cyclocross Champion, racing at Misterton Hall in Northamptonshire. I raced tired as I have been training hard on my endurance but I managed to win with a good gap and secure the title which I have won for the last four years in the various age categories. Then last weekend I travelled to York to race the in the final round of the National Trophy series and I had high hopes of securing third place in the series if I could have a good race. Sadly, it was not to be, in arctic and extremely muddy conditions I gave it my all which wasn't good enough on the day. I came in fifth which meant that I came fourth overall in the series. I shouldn't be too disappointed as I started the series not fit due to my ankle injury in the summer so I have spent the season trying to catch up with the stronger riders so just a few regional races to go and not forgetting the National Championships in January.
