The season had been ok considering, I finished 4th overall narrowly missing out on a series podium but to be fair I had to race the first two races not 100% fit. Shrewsbury is notoriously muddy and this was no different and I can't say I loved the course but I gave it my all. Still not feeling amazing just like the last National in York I really put everything I could into the race. Pitting every half lap it was such a challenge in those conditions. I finished 5th and I was disappointed with my result but 5th in the country isn't that bad really. On reflection I think I have over trained this couple of months just working my body too hard and when I needed the legs they were just too tired. I'm now having a couple of weeks rest, and then start building the training towards the mountain bike season.
