I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to take part in my second Dance Festival, funded through JHMT. This was my first competition in which I have solo dances; modern, and Song and Dance. My previous blog shared how I succeeded in winning the Open Novice Modern section.

I went back for a second weekend of partaking in the festival the following weekend. I took part in a couple of dances with the Senior troupe and we won first place with A Musical - another gold medal! Whilst waiting for the completion of the awards I was very surprised to hear my name called out - I had achieved the highest scoring dance in the Senior Novice section, that covered 3 weekends of dancing. I was thrilled to go up to the stage and receive my trophy.

Thank you so much JHMT for supporting me giving me this opportunity and be able to take part in dance festivals. What an amazing experience and achievement!
