Cinderella Panto at De Montfort Hall

I am now half way through the performances of the Cinderella Panto at De Montfort Hall and what an amazing experience it has been so far. Two weeks of intense rehearsals, squeezed in around the school day, whilst getting to know 15 other young performers and dancing together. I have had the opportunity to perform on stage with AJ and Curtis Pritchard, Evie Pickerill and Jarred Christmas, along with other really talented performers who have attended performing arts colleges.
We had a lot of fun learning the dances and scenes together, especially when we rehearsed with the adult cast. At one point I found myself on Curtis Pritchard's shoulders being carried around as part of a game. What great fun and great memories!
The performances have got off to a great start. A week of performing to school children was an experience! There was a lot of shouting and laughter! We have nearly finished the first week of performances to families which has been a lot of fun. I have also enjoyed performing to friends and family members, making sure they get a shout out from Buttons!
Once again, thank you JHMT, as I believe the extra dance opportunities that you have funded helped take my dancing to a skill level that enabled me to get through the auditions and take part in this amazing experience
