National Window Opens!

Last weekend I went to Sheffield and swam at the famous pool - Ponds Forge. I was there from the Friday til Sunday night. My school were supportive to allow me some time off to travel there and be ready to do some pre-pool exercises before I had to be in the water for the warm up in the afternoon. There were 2 accidents on the M1 so I am glad they did!

It was a tough age category being only 14 years old but having to swim in the 15 and 16 age group I knew medals will not be mine this weekend. But that was ok, as the National window was open for swimmers to gain times to qualify for British and English National championships in the summer.

I swam 5 races altogether over the weekend and I got PBS for all them accept one race. (I was just outside my PB time) The highlight though, was getting a 13 second PB in the 1500m Freestyle! Overall a successful weekend. The National window is open til 12th May, I have more races to come in the next 8 weeks.

I continue to be grateful to JHMT and the Inspire Grant in supporting me in my journey to become the best I can be. Thank you
