Thank You! – to everyone who contributed so much to make the inaugural Joe Humphries Memorial Trust such a memorable success in memory of Joe and to raise the public awareness of SADS, sudden arrhythmic death syndrome.
On today's evidence alone it is another example of 'people power' not willing to accept that nothing can be done to prevent SADS from claiming more innocent young lives across Leicester and Leicestershire.
Since disaster struck last October so many people have joined Joe's Trust as we try to reduce the incidence of SADS. A fully capacity crowd of 2,000 at Quorn is another example of such solidarity for such an important cause to save young heart beats.
Events like today don't happen by chance and it thanks to the collective efforts of so many unsung heroes who have given up so much of their time in memory of Joe and the work of his Trust.
As highlighted on the giant A1 Sponsors board there are so many people to thank including each and every member of the public who turned on mass. We obviously saddened to hear that some members of the public couldn't get in as the club had reached its ground capacity.
Many thanks for all your support and keep spreading the word about Joe's Trust. Although it maybe the holiday season for many families, we must remember SADS never takes a break. It can strike anyone, anywhere and anytime.
Once again, thanks for making this a very special day for the Trust. This couldn't have possible without you.
