Bond Night & Balloon Launch
Posted: Tue, 21 Oct 2014
The stars ( all Joe's friends for those x 85 who managed to secure a ticket! ) turned out in force to walk the red carpet to mark the 2nd anniversary of Joe's tragic loss in October 2012. Joe wanted to see Skyfall but never got the chance, Thanks to the fantastic efforts of Joe's friends and JHMT's event team of volunteer supporters wonderfully led by Vicky Wills, it was a 007 James Bond night to remember and a fitting celebration of his life for everyone who knew Joe. Dress to impress! as black tie was the order of the day for the young gents, with all the girls looking stunningly glamorous. The occasion was alive with great music from local band Murmur and a disco.
Good food, great company, great memories captured on camera and the JHMT balloon launch, which was cancelled earlier in the day due to impossible weather conditions, were finally released into the night sky by all Joe's friends as a fitting tribute to someone who is so badly missed by all his family, friends and everyone who came into contact with him.
Meg Holland on behalf of Joe's friends said 'the bond night was a spectacular way to celebrate the wonderful life that Joe lived, and a comforting way to help us cope with the difficult day. All who attended had a brilliant time full of smiles and great memories, which represents everything Joe brought to the world'.
Georgie Roe also added 'It was a great night to remember Joe with all my friends'.
