Young People Awarded for Outstanding Commitment to Joes Trust
Posted: Fri, 07 Nov 2014
De lisle College recently held their annual presentation evening to celebrate and acknowlege the efforts of students who have consistently given their very best to the diverse range of curriculum activity including exam results, outstanding achievement and progress, as well as commitment to extra-curricular teams and clubs during the past year.
It didnt go unnoticed that amongst the many talented young people who were duly recognised for their achievements, the College rightfully celebrated the outstanding efforts of some of the many inspirational young people who have over past the past two years have given so much time, commitment and effort for Joes Trust.
The De Lisle College community award is given to a student or group of students for work within the school community for fundraising etc. This year it was decided to give the award to a group of students who supported the Trust within the college by fundraising, acts of worship and helping with the continuing CPR training across all years.
Never a week passes by without us all being reminded about the selfless, brave and exceptional efforts by young people from across the county and city who are doing everything that is possible to raise awareness of SADS, encouraging others to learn key CPR lifesaving skills and who continually throw themselves into fundraising activities to make a difference in memory of Joe.
Once again on behalf of everyone involved with Joe's Trust many congratulations and thank you for all your support.
Joe would be so proud of you all.
Steve, Angie and all @JHMT
