A HUGE THANKS to DMUFC students & friends for being such ‘GREAT SPORTS’ at annual football tournament, in aid of JHMT
Posted: Mon, 04 Feb 2019
Once again congratulations to the Team DMU organizing committee led by James Dillon who have worked so hard to make the event possible.
HONOURS EVEN: The curtain raiser challenge between DMUFC ( Very Strong!!) Select v JHMT Select opened the tournament with both sides going all out to win. On a bitterly cold day, this highly spirited and enthralling footy encounter finished with honours even, 2-2. JHMT's Lee Smart ( Snr) scoring his second of two goals in the final minutes.
JHMT are truly thankful and appreciative of the efforts put in by so many kind hearted student at DMU who continue to dedicate their annual goals football tournament (2014 – to present) to raise funds for Joe's Trust work and raising awareness of SADS which can affect seemingly fit and healthy young people, 12 – 35 years old. The event is also marks the start of the Trust's year- on - year programme of work to help create a heartsafe sporting and community environment for ALL.
Thanks to all the staff at Goals, Evington for being such supportive and welcoming hosts. A BIG THANK YOU you also to members of the JHMT Select team who gave up their time and played their part in yet another actioned DMU Men's Football Cluboned packed opening match.
Thanks also JHMT photographer Stephen Baum for capturing some of the highlights on camera.
