Biography

I fell in love with singing and musical theatre at a very young age when I took part in a primary school show. Since then I have performed at every opportunity both at primary and secondary school and have been lucky enough to be cast as a principle role in several of my secondary school shows at De Lisle College. I studied drama at GCSE level and am now continuing that into year 12 as I prepare for my A Levels. My aim is to audition for one of the performing arts schools after year 13 in the hope that I can make my dreams of working in musical theatre come true.

In year 7 I auditioned to be part of Curve Young Company at Curve Leicester and was over the moon to be offered a place in their Musical Theatre group and have been involved with it ever since - developing both my vocal skills as well as my performance skills. I was also lucky enough to be offered a segment during Curve Theatre's Curve On The Square weekend in 2023.

In January this year I took the nerve-wracking step of auditioning for National Youth Musical Theatre (NYMT) and am honoured to have been offered a place at one of their residential weeks to help improve my skills and knowledge of how to work within the theatre industry. This will also give me NYMT membership for the year as well. Being a member of NYMT will go a long way to helping me achieve my dreams and is such a well known establishment that their knowledge, skills and support will be invaluable.

JHMT's Support

Funding the cost of the week was always going to be my major hurdle and the Inspire award from JHMT has made it so much more achievable - something for which I will always be so very grateful.

I look forward to sharing my onward journey with you.
