I'm 17 years old and from Leicester. In 2016, I joined the Curve Young Company [CYC] for Musical Theatre at the Curve Theatre in Leicester. Directed by West End Performer Sarah Ingram, it has allowed me to advance as a triple threat performer focussing on all aspects of Musical Theatre. In 2017, we presented Oklahoma! In which I played Ali Hakim. Our next project, The Siren club, was a 1940's Cabaret show in which i performed a tap duet. With no prior experience in tap, I bought a pair of tap shoes and taught myself. I was continually optimistic about taking up an opportunity which would see me become a more all-rounded performer. In Curve's production of Fiddler on the Roof, I played Nachum the Beggar and will soon appear in a professional production at the Curve of Irving Berlin's White Christmas, directed by Nikolai Foster. I have recently joined CYC Dance which has allowed me to perform at the Diwali light switch on in Leicester and soon perform in Mass Movement.
Simon Taylor, Inspire Lead, said:' We are always seeking to recognise up and coming talent in the performing arts and there is no question that we will be seeing a lot of brandon in the future.
