Biography
Eleanor is 17 year's old and from Leicester. She is currently raising funds to go on a once in a lifetime trip to Tanzania to help the local communities there with a community project (examples of which are building houses and schools, planting trees, digging wells/irrigation channels etc.). In order to go on the trip, Eleanor will have to raise £4,000 and is already planning to take part in a Coast to Coast walk across England this summer to help acquire further sponsorship funds.
JHMT's Support
Eleanor said: ' In order to take part in the expedition I need to raise £4000, and I would love to go on the expedition because being able to help others in a less privileged country would mean a lot to me, as I believe it is so important that everyone gets the same opportunities in life and this would enable people to have this.
'The Inspire Awards grant would mean that I would be one step closer to my fundraising goal so that I would be able to go on this once in a lifetime expedition to volunteer and help others.'
Simon Taylor, Inspire Awards Project lead said:'Eleanor is another example of a young person who will have to draw on her own potential to demonstrate the skills , energy and commitment to succeed in her project . We wish her the very best and look forward to hearing details of how the project went.'
