Biography

I am Harry and I have been racing BMX since I was 4 years old. I started at my home club of Leicester Huncote Hornets, which was a brilliant track. Sadly this closed in 2021. I now train at Derby and Birmingham.

I love BMX, and have raced all over the UK and Europe. Last year I was lucky enough to travel to Rock Hill in America for the BMX World Championships. After winning all 3 motos and my Quarter final race, I got squashed out in the dreaded Semi final, and was devastated not to get in the main final!

My favourite ever race was at the World Championships in Glasgow 2023. I had a tough time in the motos, crashing in one of them, so had to make every second count. In the semi final I hit the gate and lost both pedals, I was dead last but after an amazing come back I managed to qualify for the finals. After another tough start I came through the pack and battled for the win, ended up getting World Number 2.

I have been busy racing cyclocross and downhill mountain biking over the winter which has been great training. Now it's heading into the BMX season again, and will be training hard for the European Championships in Latvia and the World Championships in Copenhagen, both of which are in July.
