Biography
Kimiri is 21 years old and is a budding young photographer. with a burning ambition to turn this lifelong passion into a career. At present Kimiri is working hard to enhance her portfolio and realises how important this is to advance to the next level.
Kimiri said: ' I've have been trying for three years to get to a good portfolio that shows my creative skills, but it always comes down to having the resources, so I feel restricted on how I can be creative visually. The Inspire grant would help me purchase some vital pieces of equipment have the opportunity to start building a better future for me and my family.
'This would mean the world, it means that I can build my portfolio to get onto the right course, or line of work, and it also gives me a chance to explore more and help me be more creative in other ways, not just drawing and painting. It would help me add more work to my social media pages- reaching a wider audience to show off my work, create a new visual portion to my portfolio, showing my graphic skills and more importantly, I just want to be able to help young people achieve their full potential, helping them, as well as myself, to get to where they need to be and to have as much experience in a creative industry. I feel that it will help me achieve my dream.'
Inspire lead Simon Taylor said: ' Like a lot of young people the challenge for Kimiri is to find the resources to deliver her undoubted potential . We very much hope this award is one of the stepping stones to allow her to do that and we look forward to seeing her prosper in the future
