Biography
My name is Libby Bell and I am a dedicated and motivated cyclist from Quorn, Leicestershire with hopes of reaching the highest level professionally.
I am 15 years old and have been riding a bike for as long as I can remember but racing for about 6 years.
I now race Mountain bike and Cyclocross as my preferred disciplines at national level but also race road and trying a little track.
In my 6 yrs of racing I have won a National title in Cyclocross, a silver medal at the National road championships and a Bronze medal in the Mountain bike National Championship. I have also raced in Pila Italy at the European Mountain Bike Championships and I would like to race Cyclocross in Belgium this year if possible.
The last 2 years I have been fortunate enough to be awarded a JHMT award and I am forever grateful. This helped me achieve several goals and definitely contributed to a much-improved year.
Recently I have changed my coach and improved on my fitness and strength which will benefit my racing when this restarts after the Covid19 Crisis. I am also using the time currently to improve on my technical ability and attending the road and Off-road online regional School of racing sessions put on by the British Cycling talent team.
Receiving support from The Joe Humphries Memorial Trust will assist me in continuing to compete at the highest level. I am motivated to continue to achieve and any support received is spent wisely and helps my family cover the cost of this expensive journey for me, thank you X.
