Biography

Milly is 15 years old and another young swimmer from Leicester so full of potential and ambition. A member of the City of Leicester Swimming Club, she has been selected to compete for the 2nd time at the International Children's Games, as part of the Leicester team, which are being held in Alkkmar, Netherlands in June 2015. Milly also has her eyes firmly fixed on taking part in the British Gas Summer Nationals later on in the year.

To compete at the highest levels comes at a price with hour and hours of practice morning and night + weekends and also the cost of travel, equipment and entering competitions.

Milly said: I'm extremely grateful if I was to receive this award. The cost of competing is very expensive the small grant will help towards entering the competitions so that I can qualify for the national championships and help towards the travel costs, also with new swimming equipment hopefully I will swim faster.'

Simon Taylor, JHMT's Insire Award project lead said: ' We see in Milly an opportunity to assist a hugely dedicated athlete to attain her goals .We feel such levels of dedication deserve our support and are a good example to others
