Biography

Nathan is 15 years old and is an Explorer Scout & Young Leader at the Rothley Beaver Colony. He's recently been given the opportunity to undertake an expedition to Iceland In August 2015. This once in a lifetime adventure will enable him to further develop his leadership skills and share his experiences with other young people in Rothley and Charnwood.

JHMT's Support

Nathan is currently undertaking a major fundraising campaign to raise the necessary funds £1700 which will cover the costs of travel and planed activities throughout the duration of the expedition. If all goes to plan he will be the youngest person in the UK to achieve the Explorer Belt Award and his 16^th Birthday will be at the end of adventure.

This is a very busy time for young Nathan as he juggles fundraising activities alongside his studies to gain the best possible GCSE grades.

Natahan said: ' The Inspire Award small grant will play a significant part in helping me edge a step closer to going on this exciting expedition and adventure to Iceland and I may even be in the Guinness Book of World Records. It will allow me to achieve my aim of improving my skills as a Young Beaver Leader and also as an individual for my future.'
