Biography
Hi, my name Nathan & I'm 15 years old. I was introduced to Ultimate Frisbee at school and I have really enjoyed learning to play and improve my skills. I was put forward by my school for GB trials and I am delighted to have been selected to play for the Great Britain Under 17 Open Ultimate Frisbee Team. The Great Britain teams will travel to Wroclaw, in Poland on August 8th-17th, to compete in the European Junior Ultimate Championships. I am immensely proud to have been
selected to represent my country at the European Championships and as you can imagine this will entail an enormous commitment both in my time to train to compete and financially as the sport of Ultimate Frisbee is at present fully self-funded.
Due to the relatively 'young' nature of our sport, Ultimate players are not afforded any national or governing body funding. Ultimate Frisbee has now been recognised by the International Olympic Committee, and, I am hoping to become and Olympic Athlete come the games of 2024, where we are hopeful our sport will be next in line to make its Olympic Debut.
During international competitions, we play 2 games per day of 80 minutes a game which is a cross between American football and netball but with a disc so as you can imagine our sport is not for the faint hearted, or physically unfit and we only have 7 players a side on a full football pitch, so we cover an enormous amount of ground in those 80 minutes.

I wish to thank the Joe Humphries trust for the donation towards my trip to represent GB in the European Championships in Poland.
