Biography
I started dancing at the age of 2 1/2 years with Showstoppers academy of dance where I have danced until current. We have yearly shows and compete at the south Leicestershire dance festivals at least twice a year. I have won multiple trophies throughout my years including aggregate awards, best costume and style awards (ballet, tap, modern or acrobatics) I have performed twice with my dance school at Her majesty's theatre in London as part of Bobby Dazzlers. We have also performed with ratae theatre productions in Snow White, Cinderella and sleeping beauty.
I have performed in the production of disco inferno as a dancer with Leicester theatre group.
For the past 3 years I attended Studio 79 dance college full time gaining my BTEC dance qualification. I also competed with Studio 79 youth competition team. I have performed at Move it in London 3 times, Can you dance convention in Coventry, numerous competitions around England and winning best dance school at the national entertainment awards 2023. I was a dance assistant at Showstoppers while I trained here and strived to be the best role model I could be throughout this time.
I auditioned for several dance universities last year for this year and accepted one of my offered places and I am now attending Jelli Studios in Liverpool studying my Higher National Certificate followed by my Higher National Diploma for the next 2 years.
I will be auditioning during this time for many chances to perform including Britains got talent, Move it 2024 and 2025 and possibly the Dance World Cup.
The JHMT Inspire award will help me to continue in my journey and go towards private lessons, I need to be considered for some of the above opportunities, dance costumes I will need, move it 2025, to travel home to see my family.
I would love to be able to take every opportunity that comes my way. After I have gained these qualifications I would like to further gain my teaching qualification so I can open my own dance school which would be affordable and accessible to a range of children and young people from different backgrounds and see if dance can have as much as a positive impact on other people's lives as it has on mine.
